米大統領選 トランプ氏が党内支持率トップ維持 NHKニュース
来年１１月に行われるアメリカ大統領選挙に１７人が立候補している野党・共和党では、６日、候補者たちがＦＯＸニュースが主催した初めてのテレビ討論会に臨みました。
これを受けてロイター通信などが行った世論調査の結果が１０日、発表され、不動産王として知られるドナルド・トランプ氏が共和党内で２４％の支持を集め、トップを維持していることが分かりました。一方で、ブッシュ前大統領の弟のジェブ・ブッシュ元フロリダ州知事は討論会の前に行われた調査から５ポイント下げ、１２％で、２位でした。
討論会でトランプ氏は、メキシコから麻薬などが流入するのを防ぐため国境に壁を築くべきだと主張したのに続いて、その後も女性を蔑視しているかのように受け取られる発言をしたとして、物議を醸しています。この発言について女性初の大統領を目指す与党・民主党のヒラリー・クリントン前国務長官は「言語道断だ」と述べるなど批判も高まっていますが、トランプ氏の一連の発言は、既成の政治家とは違うと受け止められ、勢いを維持していることがうかがえます。
