Africa is absolutely magical. I cannot explain the overwhelming emotions I felt from the moment I opened my airplane window to see a night sky filled with stars as dawn began to break, to the moment I landed in Joburg, to meeting my friends outside of the airport doors, to looking out over the dry flat landscape from the tiny propeller plane we took, to the moment the crew picked us up from the small private airstrip, to walking out and seeing this amazing view for the first time.
Being halfway around the world from my "home" makes me realize that even though it may seem far, we are all just one human race and are much closer than we realize. This beautiful earth is "our home" and we must respect, love and protect it as much as we can. And here at Londolozi Lodge, they do just that.
