トランプ大統領のように国境に壁を作ったり、特定の国の人々の入国を拒否したりするのも人間ですが、カナダのトルドー首相のように「多様性こそ私たちの強みです」と言って迫害とテロ、戦争から逃れてきた人々を歓迎するのも人間なのです。
もともと、海という自然の国境に囲まれ、難民の受け入れを事実上拒み続けている日本で生活していると、米国やヨーロッパ諸国の苦悩を理解しづらいことは確かです。ですが、これからはそれでは済まされない時代になろうとしています。
難民を生み出せば、「受け入れる義務が発生する」というべきで、「歓迎する」のではない。
そして、難民を生み出したのはNATOだ。
他国に一面的な価値観を押し付けるのは「多様性」ではない。
