イギリスの統計局が16日発表した先月の消費者物価指数は、前の年の同じ月と比べて11.1％の上昇となりました。
伸び率は前の月の10.1％を上回って2か月連続で拡大し、1981年10月以来、41年ぶりの高い水準となりました。
内訳をみますと
▽食料品や飲料を含む項目は前の年の同じ月より16.2％、
▽ガスや電気、住宅などの項目は26.6％の上昇となり、
光熱費を含めて生活に身近な幅広い品目で物価の上昇が続いています。また変動の大きいエネルギーや食料品などを除いた物価指数でも、前の年の同じ月と比べて6.5％の上昇と伸び率は高止まりしています。
イギリスのことし7月から9月のGDP＝国内総生産の伸び率は、前の3か月に比べてマイナス0.2％と、6期ぶりのマイナス成長となり、物価の高騰による景気悪化の懸念が高まっています。
