内戦が続くシリアでは、アサド政権とそれを支援するロシアが先月から反政府勢力の最大の拠点、アレッポの完全制圧に向けて攻勢を強めています。アレッポの情勢について、シリア政府軍とロシア国防省は１２日、アレッポの大部分を制圧したことを明らかにしました。
また、内戦の情報を集めている「シリア人権監視団」も政府軍が反政府勢力の支配していた東部の９７％を制圧し、反政府勢力は壊滅状態にあるとしています。
政府軍に包囲されているアレッポ東部の住民の男性はインターネットを通じたＮＨＫの取材に対し、自分のいる場所の近くにも政府軍が迫ってきていると説明したうえで、「政府軍は拘束した女性は町の外に逃しているが、男性はひとり残らず殺害している」と述べ、町から安全に避難したいと訴えました。
ロシア国防省によりますと、これまでに反政府勢力の戦闘員２２００人以上が投降したということで、アレッポをめぐる攻防は最終段階を迎えています。
