イギリスでは19日、新たな議会が開会し、エリザベス女王が上下両院の議員を前に政府の重要政策を読み上げました。
この中で、ＥＵ離脱については来年１月末に実現することを政権の最優先課題だと位置づけたうえで、離脱後には自由貿易協定を基本にＥＵとの関係を構築し、ほかの国々とも貿易交渉を進めていくとしています。
また、国の医療制度に予算を重点的に配分することや教育システムを充実させることなどが盛り込まれ、国内の課題に積極的に取り組む方針を示しました。
ジョンソン首相はＥＵ離脱に必要な関連法案の審議を20日から始めることにしています。
保守党は先週の総選挙で過半数を大きく上回る議席を獲得したことから、議会での審議は滞りなく進むものと見られ、関心はすでに離脱後の貿易交渉へと移っています。

The new UK government says it will put priority on delivering the country's departure from the European Union on January 31.
Queen Elizabeth announced the government's agenda in her speech to MPs of both Houses of Parliament on Thursday.
It came during the first session of Parliament since Prime Minister Boris Johnson's Conservative Party won last week's general election by a landslide.
The Queen said the government will seek a future relationship with the EU based on a free trade agreement that benefits the whole of the UK.
She said the government will also begin trade negotiations with other leading global economies.
The Queen also said the government will raise spending on the National Health Service and ensure that every child has access to a high-quality education.
The prime minister plans to start parliamentary debates on Brexit-related bills on Friday.
Deliberations are likely to proceed smoothly as the Conservative Party enjoys a large majority in the House of Commons.
Analysts are closely watching how the UK's trade negotiations with other economies will play out.

イギリスで先週行われた総選挙では、イギリスからの独立を求めるＳＮＰ・スコットランド民族党が、スコットランド全体の８割を超える議席を獲得し大きく躍進しました。
ＳＮＰの党首でもあるスコットランド自治政府のスタージョン首相は19日、記者会見し、ジョンソン政権に対し、独立の是非を問う住民投票の実施を認めるよう求める考えを示し「この要求は、スコットランドの人々がみずからの将来を決めるという権利に基づくものだ」と強調しました。
スコットランドでは５年前に住民投票が行われ、独立は否決されましたが、その後、イギリスのＥＵ＝ヨーロッパ連合からの離脱が決まりました。
ＥＵ残留を希望する人が多いスコットランドでは、独立してＥＵに加盟したいという声が強まっています。
住民投票を行うにはイギリス政府の同意が必要ですが、ジョンソン首相は認めない考えを繰り返しており、今後イギリス政府とスコットランドの対立が深まるおそれがあります。
